I’m experiencing an issue with Drum Maps and ASIO guard that does not occur in Nuendo 6.5. When using a drum map in C8 and then record enabling the track, the extra buffering from ASIO guard IS NOT deactivated and latency is increased. It is reflected in the ASIO performance meter too… real time asio usage does not increase. Simply removing the drum map, and re-enabling record returns the track to the correct state, and the real time asio load increases as expected. This happens with Groove Agent and Kontakt 5 (haven’t tried others). When I deactivate ASIO guard altogether, the issue goes away. Anyone else come across this? This is on Windows 8.1 with Avid HD Native hardware. Will test on Mac shortly.
