Any Benefit to Storing Project Files / Recorded Audio on Separate Drive?

Interesting… since I originally posted this thread I found similar question elsewhere and people who actually tried both and compared said that there was hardly any difference when project files were on an SSD vs HDD. (not to mention adding wear and tear to the SSD due to frequent writing, as opposed to using for reading sample libraries). So I’m not sold no using it for projects anymore - HOWEVER, it makes me wonder about the massive 500GB extra space I have left over on my C: drive where Cubase lives. I wonder if that might be a good idea… I dont recall if it was said to keep the project files on a separate drive too, or just the instrument libraries? So yeah, back to square 1 - may be faster on SSD but what if that SSD is also the C drive?
