Since the latest Mac OS X upgrade (10.7.4), the 824 seems to be behaving correctly. I’ve not been using it extensively, but I’ll keep it connected to my main system, and see if this will last. Since I reported my issue to Apple as well, maybe they could catch out the problem and fix it.
