If you’ve got anything like my spec then leave it well alone. If you’re still using a Core2Duo then get a new computer.
If you don’t know what you’re doing then W7 is perfectly adequate and I wouldn’t install W8 just to moan about it.
However, Cubase seems to work fine so far whereas Wavelab 7/64bit does not and I’m still working on that as I’m pretty sure it should if Cubase does and I’ve missed something.
In case you’re wondering I’ve installed W8 just to see what it does and report and I know what I’m letting myself in for but for serious commercial use or if you have a deadline (and you don’t really have much gen about the machine’s innards) DON’T jump until you’ve looked at it for at least a couple of months.
