I have 2 UAD1 cards and there are no 64bit drivers for them.
So here’s what I did while I was away.
Instead of uninstalling PT9, I moved it to another drive; I them removed all of the registry files and saved them.
I then opened W8 successfully, but with messages referring to Avid. I just cancelled them and W8 seems to work fine.
I then closed it, replaced the program and it’s registry files. It’s now back to the original problem.
So is there a way to fix this inside W8 now that I’ve found a way to open it?
