I don’t get it either. It’s so simple, just communicate to your customers and be honest.

I think we will get an driver update. Otherwise Steinberg would heavily undermine their invests to build up a semi-pro/pro claim over the years. Afaik, the drivers have to be written and provided by Yamaha, not Steinberg. Kicking the mother company’s asses might not be that easy in the end.
I also really can’t imagine that Steinberg is aiming at putting their audi-interfaces in the same ballpark as modern disposable electronic gadgets like mobile phones in the long run. Imo, this sort of business is much too volatile.
Therefore I keep being optimistic.
