This has been asked for for years, and would serve one superb purpose: Make things clearer and more delineated. Make it option for those who for whatever reason don’t want it, and don’t make them as bright as the actual color – make it a darker shade of the color. It’s amazing what a big difference it makes in the other DAWs that have it.
