IMHO that makes no difference, the best way to do this is still the “raino method”. If you’re recording a full band to 12 tracks you will need to put some thought and effort into setting up a template, even in Logic. If you’re going to that effort anyway, the extra time to set up some monitor tracks will be insignificant and will pay dividends.
