I do hope this conversation doesn’t end up going back to arguments I saw on pro audio forums of the early 2000s where people would say stuff like different hard drives had a different ‘sound’, and even if two DAWs produced a mathematically identical audio file, some people could tell that they sounded different and there’s more to it than the maths or some such other nonsense, because that poop was really tedious.
