I have worked out that this problem occurs when the notes overlap. Cubase is retaining Expression data from both notes, which is logical. But if the Expression data conflicts we get this jagged saw tooth line. I think that a better behaviour would be, when two notes are Glued, the Expression from the first note is overwritten where the second notes Expression starts.
In the attached project file, the notes are overlapping. All you need to do is Glue them.
