The evocative sound of an earlier century

This beautiful, historical library for HALion features one of the very few preserved German harpsichords — an amazing-sounding instrument crafted by Christian Vater. Built in Hannover in 1738, the instrument features a mellow low end and rich low mids, combined with a delicate treble range. Playable in modern and historical temperament, this harpsichord truly brings the sound of the 1700s into the 21st century.

“I absolutely love the German Harpsichord 1738 plug-in! Not only is it great for playing Baroque music (especially while waiting for stems to be done), but it also is flexible enough to sound absolutely unique in modern music production. Aside from that, it made me understand my favorite composer, Johann Sebastian Bach, a little bit better. 10/10”
