Black Orb: 150 new presets for Padshop

This Padshop Expansion absorbs iconic vintage synthesizers, obscure modular synths and a variety of organic sounds into a dark mass, only to be further mangled by everything Padshop has to offer. The result is a hybrid of gloomy lurking drones, raw pads, aching arpeggios and powerful pulses which push the boundaries of electronic music, feature film, game, TV and trailer scoring.

150 hybrid sounds and inspirational soundscapes

Modular and vintage synths combined and processed with analog effects

Includes deeply manipulated samples from a concert pipe organ

All presets designed by The Solos (trailers for Avengers, Alien, Jurassic World)

The idea behind Black Orb

The idea was to create a library, preset and sample pack for Padshop 2 which is specifically tailored for electronic music, cinematic and movie trailers. Padshop is an ideal powerhouse for creating those sounds, literally stretching the extremes of sound design through its granular and spectral options. The result is outstanding soundscapes which complement, challenge, move and inspire your ideas. Warm and deep, yet torn and shattered, Black Orb has been created by The Solos’ seasoned sound designers Allert Aalders and Ramon Kerstens.

Meet the developers: The Solos
